WHAT IS RESIDENTIAL WIND ELECTRICITY?
Residential Wind Energy is a system in which turbines convert the wind’s power into kinetic energy which is multiplied by leveraging internal gears. In order to increase energy production - wind turbines can be configured to face a specific direction which will have the biggest impact from the wind.
The turbines on a windmill typically are placed far above the ground to leverage the increased wind impact.
Most residential homes leverage a ‘tilt-down’ windmills are they tend to be smaller, are easier to maintain and can be taken down in case of extreme weather conditions.
